materials & lamination

With today's digital processes, it is possible to print on a large variety of materials and substrates.

large format poster paper
We use two main materials for giant poster printing, as follows:

170g blue back silk poster paper...
A specialist opaque blue-backed paper designed for billboarding, hanging and encasing with a silk finish.

170g white back silk poster paper...
a good all round robust poster paper designed for conventional indoor use, with a silk finish.

display panel mounting
Prints are produced on solvent vinyl adhesive and mounted onto lightweight foam board available in 3mm, 5mm, 6mm thicknesses, offering a rigid, durable, smooth-surfaced board which is also weatherproof when sealed with a laminate.

laminating & coating
To enhance durability, we would recommend laminating on all mounted displays with either a gloss or matt finish. Our laminates are guaranteed outdoors for 4 years. Unmounted prints can also be laminated to create a gloss or matt finish.

Pull-up banners also benefit hugely from a laminate which provides an anti-abrasive, anti-glare finish, especially important if the banner is going to be used regularly.

inks
All inks used are solved-based and are waterproof, being guaranteed against fade for 4 years.
