This is currently the most effective way to send your files, especially if they are large. If you don't have your own FTP server, then we're more than happy for you to upload your files onto ours. Please e-mail us for details of how to access our FTP site and we can set up your individual 'client area'. We do recommend that you use an FTP client such as 'FTP Explorer', as not all browsers are supported.
There are websites available for the electronic transfer of large files, two of the current most popular being www.yousendit.com and www.mailbigfile.com. These sites offer a free service for sending files up to 100/200MB in size respectively. It is recommended that you compress your files into a single .zip or .sit archive before sending using this method.
We support most modern data storage media including CD, DVD and memory sticks.
Whilst we are happy to receive files via e-mail, we would not recommend it for files larger than 3MB in size.
A 'press quality' PDF is our preferred format for guaranteed results. However we support most Mac and PC professional graphics applications including QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. A high resolution TIFF, JPEG or EPS is also acceptable.
We also support consumer level applications such as Microsoft Publisher, Word and Powerpoint. Please be aware though that due to the limitations of these programs your files may not print as expected.
Pictures and graphics must be supplied at a minimum resolution of 300dpi at 100% of actual size. All 4 colour process images should be submitted in CMYK format (not RGB). Please note that web graphics are low resolution and may not reproduce well in print.
Remember, if you supply your files in a software package and not as a one-piece Photoshop or PDF file, always supply all 'screen' and 'printer' fonts and related graphics files.
Any design with objects that touch the edge of the final trimmed sheet/page must be extended 3mm beyond the page edge in your layout. Please supply your artwork with printer's cropmarks to ensure accurate placement of your artwork.
