Alpamare is an alpine-themed waterpark offering one of the finest water experiences in the UK, featuring some of the country’s best and fastest waterslides, a wave pool, children’s water playground and two heated outdoor pools accessible all-year round.
Overlooking Scarborough’s North Bay, this attraction is the ultimate experience with a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.
With the recent addition of a luxury Wellness Centre, Alpamare needed a range of advertising materials to promote their new alpine-style spa and got in touch with us at Adverset Media Solutions. Following discussions, we were proud to be entrusted with the design and production for these assets.
Our first task was to restyle the brand for the Wellness Centre, to reflect the calming and relaxing nature of services provided by this new luxury spa, in contrast to the thrilling experiences offered by the waterpark.
The logo uses the same wave/sun symbol as the waterpark offering, but has been re-designed in solid white for maximum impact on a coloured background. We combined this with a sans-serif typeface and chose wide letter-spacing to induce a further sense of calmness.
To promote the treatments inspired by therapeutic traditions from the Alps and Orient, we designed three treatment guides, styled to reflect the nature of treatment groups: Blue for the Hamam, with its relaxing properties, reddish-brown for the rejuvenating properties of the saunas and tan for the detoxing procedures. For the back of treatment guides, we’ve re-designed the Wellness Centre’s map in the same style. We then produced 1,000 copies of each treatment guide in our in-house printing facility, with additional runs to be printed in the near future.
To complement the treatment guides and in order to further promote the new Wellness Centre, we also designed and printed 10,000 copies of DL leaflets, using the same earthy tones and images illustrating the procedures.
With such a wide variation of spa treatments, the wellness areas needed sleek, contemporary signage to guide visitors through the centre. We therefore also designed, produced and installed a family of acrylic studded-off signs. We recommend this style of directional signage to many of our customers, offering longevity and premium look and feel. These types of panels not only look great, but are extremely durable and are particularly suitable for spa and swimming pool environments.
Working on this project, we were very pleased to have provided full design and print services, with the end result complementing the luxury services provided by the new Wellness Centre at Alpamare Waterpark and helping to promote the spa facilities.
