25 Years Service – and counting!

Richard Cook – 25 years and still loving it!…

It’s hard to believe, but Richard Cook started his journey with adverset on 15 March 1999, at the young age of 22 and was brought in and trained to operate our first printing press – a 2-colour Heidelberg SM52. He is therefore currently celebrating 25 great years with us.

We have always been astounded with the speed in which Richard picks up technology on new equipment, characterised by absolute dedication and a minimum of fuss. This has been evident from day one, right through to current times when he was given the unenviable task of training and picking up the operation of our new signage equipment. This was a new investment and a complete departure  from commercial printing – and he has to be highly commended for the seamless transition which has taken us onto another level with our signage production capability, whilst maintaining his current skills in digital and litho printing.

It’s not an exaggeration to say that nothing fazes Richard and in his current role of Production Director, I trust him implicitly with our commitment to quality and service. We are indeed very lucky.

As a colleague and friend, we have enjoyed many business and personal trips over the years and shared many laughs. If we were to name just a few, there are fond memories of: Heidelberg/Wiesbaden, Komori/Utrecht (Amsterdam), KBA/Dresden, DRUPA/ Dusseldorf, Duplo/London and of course our visits to play our friends in Malta at footy – not to mention England v Sri Lanka 2-day cricket bonanza at Headingley.

Finally, I would like to thank Richard for his personal support over the years, during our many ‘ups and downs’. I look forward to helping us to steer towards future opportunities and I am confident that Richard will play a massive part in this.

Congratulations Rich – we look forward to another 25 years!
