‘Service’ Cuban style!

One of the most important considerations of a new or existing business is the level of service the company can provide. A major feature of running a business successfully is the continual urge to provide an unrivalled service. A good product is tarnished and perhaps without this element.

Cuba - paradise.

Here at adverset we pride ourselves on our customer service whether it be a design, printing or display project, but I’m not shallow enough to refuse to admit that there is always room for improvement. I have to say that my visit to Cuba was an eye opener and reinforced my belief in the fact that service is probably THE most important factor associated with repeat custom.

The hotel we stayed in was beautiful, but like all establishments coping in a tropical climate, they faced difficulties in maintaining ‘Western’ standards which we all take so pathetically for granted. The fact was though that for any elements you could find to complain about cosmetically, there was one thing which firmly counter-balanced this – the people.

And of course it’s people who provide the smile, the unpretensious care for your well-being and the superb level of service – the ultimate ingredient for a perfect holiday. In summary, any other issues simply melt away and become an unimportant factor.

Apply this to business and you’re clearly on to a winner. Of course there should also be a superb product to back this up! but it is surprising how a high service offering can provide cover for inadequacies in other areas.

Comically, my point was further highlighted on our return flight when we were subjected to a 2 hour wait for a cup of tea! Tut, tut.
