Customised display challenge

We were recently asked to produce a custom-built branded floor standing ‘surround’ for a key presentation.

Lunchbox Correx display

At a top York hotel, Lunchbox Theatrical Productions were showcasing a new live production in Hong Kong, which is based on a ‘fairground’ theme. The unit required a snug fitting reveal for a whopping 81 inch TV.

The project represented something of a challenge due to the fact that it was not possible to have the TV on site. Sizes and specs. were relayed by e-mail and therefore until the unit and TV set arrived at the venue and the fit was tested, there were a few moments of concern.

Due to the sheer size of the display, the unit required joining and fitting on site. We needn’t have worried though as everything fitted perfectly and the display looked fantastic. All ready to go with a massive 2 hours to spare!

How the display stand was made
The unit was produced from fluted Correx material and the graphics were printed onto solvent vinyl which was mounted onto the Correx. The unit was moulded to form a ‘Punch & Judy’ style shape, to which we fitted feet and struts for stability. The accuracy of the cut-out reveal for the TV was the most crucial aspect, but passed with flying colours.

Job done!
